June 18, 2008 – Denis Verret involves himself with the Freedom from Poverty Foundation Yesterday in Montreal, Denis Verret met with Dr. Shivendra Dwivedi, chief anaesthetist at the Santa Cabrini Hospital and treasurer of the Freedom from Poverty Foundation. This encounter was scheduled to establish the procedure of the free help Denis had offered to the FFPF, an help that Dr Dwivedi accepted with great enthusiasm. These services will essentially consist of French corrections and translations. The Freedom from Poverty Foundation was founded in 1993 by T.D. Dwivedi (father of Dr Dwivedi), professor emeritus at Concordia University and still president of the charitable organization. The goal of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life of those who live in Uttar Pradesh, one of the poorest provinces of India. Professor Dwivedi and later the Foundation are responsible for the building of two schools. These schools have given the opportunity to thousands of girls to obtain a complete education. The Foundation also runs mobile clinics, that have treated to this day over 60 000 patients. The next objective of the Foundation is to build and maintain a Multispecialty Charitable Hospital in Ayodhya, Faizabad District, Uttar Pradesh, India. The hope of the Foundation is that the money earned with the services provided to those who can pay for their medical cares will be sufficient to pay for all of the hospital operations, including the free services provided to the poorest ones. To give you an idea of the life conditions in Uttar Pradesh:
